Abstract
During the perioperative period little attention is given to thermoregulation. This can lead to hypothermia which has severe physiological complications. This article discusses the causes and effects of hypothermia in surgical patients and describes a study that the author conducted to discover the level of awareness on the subject among operating department staff. Keywords
