Abstract
A longitudinal analysis of life satisfaction scores of retirement community residents aged 66 to 94 revealed some change over a 3-year interval in the variances but not in the means. Initial and retest life satisfaction scores were highly correlated. Self-perceived health, not being neglected by friends, and not riding in a car with a friend or neighbor as usual form of transportation were significant predictors of initial life satisfaction but not of changes in life satisfaction. Keywords
