Abstract
The load behavior observed during a series of field tests is presented. A staged fault test was conducted in November, 1978 by closing a circuit breaker into a three-phase short-circuit on a 230 kV circuit in the Bismarck, North Dakota area. The behavior of a portion of the Bismarck load was recorded at a 41.6 kV bus and analyzed. The voltage at the same bus was varied by using a voltage regulator before and after the staged fault test, and the load behavior during these tests was also recorded and analyzed. Keywords
