Abstract
The gray cell coefficient of the frontal lobes of the brain in man is 651, in the horse 45:1, in the sheep 35:1, and in the rabbit 20:1. Conclusions are drawn from these results. The vol. of the nerve cells in the same vol. of the griseum diminishes during phylogenetic development. This is not always associated with a diminished no. of cells, e.g., in man. There is perhaps a relation of intellect as shown in the sheep and horse. The importance of the granulated cells is stressed.
