Abstract
Clamped-gain SOA modules for 1.55 µm wavelength including DBR-gratings, tensile strained bulk material and mode size adaptors have been realised. Thanks to the stabilised gain over a large optical power range, amplification and routing of WDM signals at 16 × 10 Gbit/s has been achieved. Keywords
