Abstract
The classical problem of radiation emitted by an accelerated charge is considered. We use the analogy to suggest that the space-time development of the bremsstrahlung which accompanies the color exchange in hadron-hadron inelastic scattering is very similar to that of the color flux-tube model. The bremsstrahlung yields a considerable contribution to the effective string tension. It is argued that one should distinguish between the string tension measured in static and dynamic processes. Keywords
