Abstract
Selective intra-arterial streptokinase therapy successfully reopened 10 axillofemoral and lower extremity Dacron bypass grafts that had undergone delayed closure from 2-47 mo. after implantation. In 4, completion arteriograms revealed no runoff obstruction acquired since implantation; additional runoff obstruction had developed in the remaining 6. All of the grafts without obstruction have remained open from 2-11 mo. Three of the 6 grafts with obstruction have remained open from 2.5-4 mo. after specific surgical correction of the obstructive lesion. Apparently, intra-arterial streptokinase therapy is an effective means to reopen knitted Dacron grafts that have undergone delayed closure in the axillofemoral and above-knee femoropopliteal positions. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
