Abstract
All-optical clock recovery is demonstrated at 20 Gbit/s with a fibre-based nonlinear loop mirror used as an intracavity modulator in a mode-locked fibre laser. The effect of combining AM and FM modulation simultaneously is analysed theoretically and experimentally. Keywords
