Abstract
The effectiveness of computer-assisted instruction is reviewed with emphasis on results within secondary school settings. This review summarizes studies of achievement, attitude, retention, time savings, and cost. It is concluded that CAI leads to achievement levels equal to or higher than traditional instruction, as well as to favorable attitudes, significant time savings, and comparable levels of retention and cost. Keywords
