Electrodynamics of Josephson junctions

Abstract
Using the notion of a macrowave function, we show that Josephson radiation arises from oscillations of an overlap charge density localized inside the junction oxide. These oscillations are analogous to those that produce dipole radiation from a two-level atom.Keywords
