General complications of cataract surgery and lens implantation

Abstract
Complications of cataract surgery are rare and continue to decrease with the emergence of new styles of surgery. Phacoemulsification gives a new importance to intravitreal nucleus remnants. Capsulorhexis has dramatically reduced the rate of lens dislocation. This review emphasizes the importance of some remaining complications of lens surgery, although they are far less frequent than 10 years ago.
