Abstract

C. s. balsaci ssp. nov. from Mount Oku, closely related to C. s. stuhlmanni of the high mountains of east Africa is described. Consideration is given to the climatic modifications which are responsible for the isolation of forms from high mountains of inter-tropical Africa.
