Zur Haemophilus-Pleuropneumonie beim Schwein

Abstract
A pleuropneumonia in pigs caused by Haemophilus parahemolyticus and observed frequently in recent years is reported. Transmission experiments were successful and yielded results similar to the ones of Shope (H. pleuropneumoniae in an epidemic in Argentina). Acute cases showed a severe, circumscribed, hemorrhagic or purulent necrotic pneumonia and serofibrinous pleuritis. Benign Infections produce few foci in the lungs with tendency to encapsulate with connective tissue and production of localized pleuritis.
