Abstract
This chapter discusses the most crucial problem looming over the implementation of most rural development projects. Sustainability is the bottom line for measuring implementation efforts. The principal objective of development initiatives is to generate self-sustaining improvements in human well-being. Political Factors. Political support for a project at various levels of government is necessary for the continuation of benefits. Financial sustainability is when revenues are insufficient project activities. Revenue of most development of them are intended to incomes. An initial assessment should be made to gauge the willingness and ability of an institution to shoulder the financial burden of project activities. Political and economic policy constraints are extremely difficult for project managers to alleviate, especially when the managers are outsiders. Project planning and implementation are more art than science. Although empirical knowledge can improve the planning and implementation process, the ability to be creative with that knowledge is crucial. Keywords
