Abstract
The limits of solid solubility for the NaF-LiF system were determined by the x-ray diffraction method to be 065±002 mole% NaF in LiF, and 45±02 mole% LiF in NaF. The measurements indicate that the Na ion enters the LiF lattice substitutionally, while the Li ion is accepted interstitially as well as substitutionally by the NaF lattice. Keywords
