Alport’s Syndrome

Abstract
Alport’s syndrome is reviewed in historical retrospect. Previous histological studies of temporal bones are carefully reviewed and compared with the present findings in light microscopy of 5 temporal bones (3 patients). It is concluded that as yet there have been no findings of specific inner-ear changes in explanation of the perceptive hearing loss.
