Abstract
A new epiphytic Amphiroa, A. currae (Corallinaceae, Rhodophyta) is described from Venezuela. The plants form tiny cushions, 0.5–1.5 cm in diameter, on Gelidium serrulatum J. Ag. The articulated portion comprises fewer than sixteen intergenicula. Conceptacles occur both in the crustose and segmented portions.
