Photoionization of the barium4dsubshell including relativistic and relaxation effects

Abstract
Calculations of photoionization parameters are presented for the 4d shell of atomic Ba. A sequence of calculations was performed in the framework of the relativistic random-phase approximation: (i) including correlations within the 4d shell only; (ii) including correlations arising from coupling with 5s, 5p, and 6s shells; and (iii) including relaxation of the 4d shell. These results are compared with some other theoretical calculations and with recent experimental data.Keywords
