Abstract
During the past two decades, I and the members of my laboratory have enjoyed very much contributing to the body of knowledge concerning the alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complexes. We would hope that some of our work has allowed those interested in this area a perception as to how these interesting enzyme complexes are regulated in intact metabolic systems. And last, but certainly not least, I have treasured both my professional relationship and my personal friendship with Lester Reed. His work and his presence in this field of inquiry serve as a gold standard for all of us.Keywords
