Abstract
World distr., Texas occurrences, color, size, descr., habits and food, breeding and economic uses are given for the following spp. Ginglymostoma cirratum, Mustelus canis, Galeocerdo cuvier, Scoliodon terra-novae, Aprionodon isodon, Negaprion brevirostris, Carcharhinus leucas, C. porosus, C. acronotus, C. limbatus, C. natator, Eulamia springeri, E. obscurus, E. milberti [ listed although not positively known from Texas], Prionace glauca [doubtful sight record], Sphyrna tiburo, S. tudes, S. zygaena, S. diplana, Rhinodon typus, Alopias vulpes, Isurus oxyrinchus, Carcharodon carcharias, Squalus acanthias, and Rhina dumeril. All these except where noted are inhabitants of Texas waters. A diagnostic key is given.
