Abstract
The concentration and temperature dependences of proton magnetic resonance measurements on chloroform in acetone and triethylamine solutions are presented. The behavior is similar to hydrogen bonding systems and it is concluded that there is a specific interaction involving the chloroform proton and the solvent molecule. In each system the data are consistent with the assumption of a one‐to‐one complex. Equilibrium constants and heats of formation are calculated. Keywords
