Abstract
A new H2 bacterium is described and the conditions under which H2, O2, and CO2 are consumed followed. Under best conditions the organism carries out the net reaction: CO2 + O2 + 4 H2 (CH2O) + 3 H2O which corresponds to a thermodynamic efficiency of 7.25%.Keywords
