Abstract
This paper discusses simple designs for circularly polarized antennas without the need of phase shifters and power dividing networks. In particular, design formulas of several commonly used microstrip antennas are derived and quantitative information on the antenna Q‐factor is presented to facilitate the design. Design examples are given to illustrate the proposed design procedure. Keywords
