Abstract
The theoretical treatment of the planar symmetrical XY3 molecular model for the mean‐square amplitude quantities has been given. Mean‐square amplitude quantities as well as mean amplitudes of vibration for the sulphur trioxide and aluminium trichloride molecules have been computed. The values of the generalized mean‐square amplitudes (mean‐square parallel amplitudes, mean‐square perpendicular amplitudes and mean cross products) in terms of the Σ matrix elements have been reported. Keywords
