Abstract
The wedge pressure in 5 cases of atrial septal defect was recorded by wedging the cardiac catheter into a pulmonary vein so as to obstruct its lumen. In all cases the mean pressures were found to exceed much the mean pressures in the non-obstructed pulmonary vein in both atria. Keywords
