Abstract
A review of girls evaluated for symptomatic urinary tract infection showed that white girls were affected 2.9 times more often than black girls. In the same group, vesicoureteral reflex was noted to occur 3.4 times more commonly in white than black girls. Apparently, the prevalence of reflux in black girls is at least 10 times less than in white girls and should influence indications for recommending urinary tract evaluation in black girls. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
