Abstract
Attempts to demonstrate that green algae fix free N were unsuccessful, but a pure culture of a blue-green (Anabaena variabilis Kutz.), isolated from soil, fixed 5 mgm. N per 100 cc. culture medium in 75 days, using sunlight as the energy source.Keywords
