Abstract
When multiphoton ionisation occurs towards multiple continua, electrons with various energies are ejected. The author uses a simple model to describe space charge in order to show how the electron energy spectrum can be perturbed. In particular the author explains the complete vanishing of the first peak observed for strong intensities. Keywords
