Abstract
The angular correlation of the gamma cascade in 24S has been measured to be 1 + (0.332±0.032)P2 (cosθ)-(0.017±0.011)P 4(cos θ) and this is interpreted in terms of a spin-sequence 2 + , 2+, 0 with a mixture of 1.4% of E2 radiation in the first transition. A new angular correlation apparatus and fast coincidence system is briefly described. Keywords
