Abstract
The paper deals with four species of Azotus Howard and the two species of Coccophagoides Girault known from India. A. qadrii Agarwal, A. delhiensis Lal and A. chionaspidis Howard are distinguished and a tentative key to the Indian species of this genus is given. A. indicus Khan and Shafee is considered a synonym of delhiensis. A biological basis is suggested for distinguishing between C. orientalis (Agarwal) and C. utilis Doutt, since these are found to be morphologically identical in the female sex (males unknown in orientalis). The genera Mesidia Foerster and Prococcophagus Silv. are recorded for the first time from India; the former based on a specimen identified as M. pumila Mayr. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
