Abstract
Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from 3 strains of C. jejuni [C. fetus ssp. jejuni] was extracted by aqueous phenol. The sugar components present in all strains were glucose, galactose, L-glycero-D-mannoheptose and glucosamine. One strain also contained galactosamine. The fatty acids present were mainly 3-hydroxytetradecanoic acid and n-hexadecanoic acid. The LPS contained 2-keto-3-deoxyoctonate and P.Keywords
