Abstract

Resistivity and the second critical field H_c2 have been measured for superconducting (La_1-xSr_x)₂CuO₄ and Ba₂Cu₃O_7+y single crystals grown from the melt. The H_c2 along the basal plane is estimated to be larger than that along the c-axis by a factor of more than 5. These anisotropy due to crystallographic structure is briefly discussed.
