Abstract
Studies in glucose metabolism were undertaken on 32 patients with single obesity, using the insulin-glucose tolerance described by Engel and Scott. All but 1 showed an abnormal response when compared to a normal group. Differences in response were statistically significant. This test is considered more sensitive than the standard oral glucose tolerance test for estimating carbohydrate tolerance. Keywords
