Abstract
We present here a linear mode coupling theory for frequency up-shifting of electromagnetic radiation in a microwave cavity containing a fast growing plasma produced by flash ionization of a neutral gas. Approximate analytical solutions and numerical calculations of the exact mode coupling equations are presented. Keywords
