Abstract
Intravenous injection of 2 U synthetic lysine-vasopressin in man causes an increase in plasma hydrocortisone of the same order of magnitude as 2 U Pitressin (approximately 10 ([mu] %). It is therefore concluded that the adrenocortical stimulatory effect of Pitressin is due to vasopressin and not to any impurities.Keywords
