Non-linear Pulsations of Upper Main Sequence Stars--II: DIRECT NUMERICAL INTEGRATIONS

Abstract
The non-linear pulsations of vibrationally unstable main sequence stars of between 70 and 210 M are studied using numerical methods directly. Non-linear solutions are investigated for various amplitudes for short periods of time. The results are found to be in qualitative agreement with those obtained in a previous paper using a perturbation technique. The results are found to be different from those given by other authors. In particular no mass loss is found. Possible reasons for the discrepancy are given.
