Abstract
A two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis technique is presented for separation of acid-extracted proteins of isolated nucleoli of normal rat liver and Novikoff hepatoma ascites cells. About 100 distinct protein spots were resolved. Comparison of the patterns for normal liver and Novikoff hepatoma revealed nine spots with markedly different intensities in the two patterns. Two spots were found that were unique to the normal liver pattern, and one spot was found that was unique to the hepatoma pattern. Keywords
