Abstract
Through the decades Southwestern archaeologists have coined numerous terms for bone implements which usually imply specific functions. The research on utilized bone from Grasshopper Pueblo is directed toward the goal of determining the range of functions applicable to each tool type and constructing a more accurate classification of Southwestern bone artifacts. Methods employed include experimental replication, microwear studies, and investigation of ethnographic collections and literature. Keywords
