Abstract
50 diabetics, subjected to a standard test dose of insulin, showed a wide range of response in their fasting blood sugar levels, but there did not appear to be any natural line of cleavage between insulin-sensitive and insulin-resistant groups. When 2 such groups were arbitrarily separated, using the average percentage fall for the entire series as the dividing line, no relationship between insulin-sensitivity and clinical characteristcs or response to high carbohydrate diets could be demonstrated. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
