Abstract
There is no technic available which brings about with certainty a complete eradication of the tubercle bacilli from infected tissue. After the therapeutic drugs have ceased to inhibit the bacilli, either because of resistance or interruption of therapy, only the resistance of the host can act as a brake on reactivation of the disease caused by the surviving bacilli. Keywords
