Toxicological Studies on the Egyptian Cotton Leafworm, Prodenia litura. II. Reversion of Toxaphene Resistance in the Egyptian Cotton Leafworm1

Abstract
Toxaphene-resistant Prodenia larvae were collected from the field in 1962. Technieal toxaphene in acetone was applied topically to 3rd instar larvae. LD50 values determined from July 1962 until September 1963 indieated reversion of Prodenia’s resistance to toxaphene. Field strains when tested in 1963 showed the same trend of reversion as the laboratory strain.
