Abstract
Doppler frequency conversion of magnetoelastic echoes in a y.i.g. rod has been produced by applying linear time modulation to the biasing magnetic field. Shifts of several megahertz at 750 MHz are compatible with calculations which treat the phenomenon as propagation through moving phase-velocity tapers. Keywords
