Abstract
Botryosphaeria obtusa (Schw.) n. comb, and B. stevensii n. nom. occurring on cultivated grapes, and B. quercuum (Schw.) Sacc. and B. melanops (Tul.) Wint. on Quercus spp. are distinguished primarily by characteristics of their conidial states which are illustrated, described, and separated by a key. Canadian collections in the National Mycological Herbarium support the following host range and geographic distribution: B. quercuum on Quercus spp. in Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario; B. melanops on Quercus spp. in Ontario; B. obtusa on Amelanchier, Crataegus, Juglans, Malus, Ribes, Sorbus, and Vitis spp. in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan; B. stevensii on Vitis sp. in Ontario. Keywords
