Social Facilitation Effects in Coffeehouses

Abstract
Behavioral ecology was used to test facilitation effects in three coffeehouses. Groups spent more time in the settings than did lone individuals, and joined parties stayed longest. Duration is an important dependent variable for social psychological research in natural settings.Keywords
