Abstract
Thermally stimulated conductivities in four samples of type Ia and three samples of type IIa diamonds were compared in the temperature range 20-400 °C. Three peaks were observed in the regions of 60-100 °C (peak A), 190 °C (peak B), and 240-300 °C (peak C). The precise peak temperature depended on the rate of heating. Peak C was much greater in type Ia, and it may be associated with one of the several different possible aggregates of nitrogen impurity. The activation energies of peak A (05±01 eV) and peak C (20±03 eV) were determined. Peak B could not be sufficiently resolved to make useful measurements. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
