Abstract
Plasma theophylline concentrations have been determined by both high-performance liquid chromatography and the enzyme multiplied immunoassay technique (EMIT). Comparison of the results showed a good correlation between the techniques. The faster processing time and smaller sample size makes EMIT the preferred technique when routine batch assays for theophylline are required. Keywords
