Myocardial reactive hyperaemia responses in the dog after beta receptor block with propranolol

Abstract
Myocardial reactive hyperaemia responses in the dog were shown to decline after administration of propranolol. This appears to be due to the action of propranolol on cardiac contractility and its ability to block adrenergic vasodilator receptors as well as the myocardial stimulating effect of catecholamines.
