ENLARGED SUPRAPINEAL RECESS OF THE THIRD VENTRICLE

Abstract
In 600 pneumoencephalographs examined 24 unusually large supraplneal recesses were found. This equals 4% of the total series and is twice as large as the incidence reported by Robertson. A group of so-called pure enlarged supraplneal recesses showed no actual difference from the rest of the cases except that in this group of 10 cases there were as many as 7 malc patients, while the femalc-malc ratio in the series of 24 cases was 159. Pneumoencephalographs illustrating the condition are presented. A high incidence of craniocerebral traumas and eplleptic patients was found.
