Abstract
Nitroxide free radicals have been produced by oxidation of pyrrolidine, piperidine, morpholine, and hexamethyleneimine. In six-membered rings, conformational changes are sufficiently slow to be studied by electron spin resonance. Activation energies for ring-inversion have been determined from the dependence of the e.s.r. spectra on temperature. Keywords
