Abstract
The healing of epidermal injuries produced on the 4th day of the 4th instar was observed histologically. New epidermis is formed at the wound from blood cells (type unknown) gathered there. Mitotic divisions of epidermal cells in the wound area were not observed during the healing process. In the moulting period cuticle formation is delayed for several hrs. at the wound site, and there is no nodule formation in the new cuticle.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
